Religious beliefs are occupying an increasing number of challenges to equal protection for LGBT at the U.S. Supreme Court. With Ginsburg gone and Barrett in, the number of such threats will almost certainly increase in the coming years.

Supreme Court action favors trans students

In an action that preserves a ruling favorable to transgender students in five states, the U.S. Supreme Court refused June 28 to accept appeal of a decision that says Title IX protects transgender students from discrimination.
